We started AC Repair Garland because of one recurring failure — and it had nothing to do with the equipment.
A system goes down at night, the homeowner calls the company they can find, and the phone either rings through to a script or goes to voicemail. “24/7” turns out to mean business hours plus an answering service. By the time anyone calls back, the house has been unbearable for hours.
So the whole company is built around fixing that one thing: when you call, a real person who can dispatch a technician picks up. Day or night, that doesn’t change.
Why we don’t publish prices.
A lot of repair companies either hide their pricing or post a number that never matches what you actually pay. We do neither. The estimate visit is free — a technician looks at your specific system and tells you what’s actually wrong. Then you get one written quote before anything starts. No figure on this website could be accurate for every system in Garland, so we’d rather look first and quote in writing than guess in public.
Why Garland specifically.
Garland is one of the biggest suburbs in the metro by population, and it’s also one of the only ones with its own municipal electric utility — Garland Power & Light, not Oncor. That matters more than it sounds like it should: outage patterns and restoration here don’t always match the rest of Dallas County, so a “no cooling” call can turn out to be a power issue rather than an equipment one. Sorting that out on the phone, before a truck rolls, is part of what answering the call actually means.
The housing skews older in large stretches of the city too — a lot of it built out in the 1960s and 70s, back when Texas Instruments and the old LTV Aerospace plant were among the city’s biggest employers. That’s real, and it shapes plenty of repairs. It’s just not the headline. The headline is that the phone gets answered.
